Description

Flora, the Roman Goddess of flowers and spring. The image of a garden that bursts forth onto the scene in season is a great description of the bold Italian woman, Flora Viola. One of the most enduring images of the 1991 Coppa Italia final was that of Flora Viola lifting the cup skywards, just a few months after she had taken over the presidency following the death of her husband, Dino, in January 1991. The first woman president of a Serie A club, she was a pioneer celebrated for her business acumen and bravery.
